Privacy Policy

How Fabritec collects, uses, protects and shares personal information across our website, portal and manufacturing services.

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how Fabritec handles personal information. It is a public transparency notice, not a customer order form or signature document. A customer agreement or data processing agreement may provide additional terms for a particular deployment.

1. Who we are

Fabritec Software Solutions ("Fabritec", "we", "us" or "our") provides manufacturing execution, production, quality, document, inventory, logistics and related software and services for fabrication and manufacturing businesses.

Our principal business address is Commercial Building No. 3I, Services Area, Legenda Village, Sheikh Zayed City, First Neighborhood, Second District, opposite Downtown, Sheikh Zayed, Egypt. Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to support@fabritec-eg.com with the subject line "Privacy Request".

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information processed through the Fabritec public website, demo and contact forms, newsletter, customer portal, hosted Fabritec services, support interactions, events and other business communications that link to this policy.

It does not replace a customer's negotiated agreement, Order Form, Statement of Work or data processing agreement. It also does not govern third-party websites, services or integrations that publish their own privacy notices.

3. Our role for customer data

For website visitors, prospects, account contacts and our own business operations, Fabritec generally decides why and how personal information is processed and acts as the controller or equivalent responsible organization.

When a customer uploads or submits personal information to the Fabritec Platform for its own manufacturing operations, the customer generally controls that information and Fabritec processes it on the customer's instructions. In that situation, questions about the data should usually be directed first to the relevant customer organization. The applicable customer agreement and data processing terms govern that processing.

4. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Business contact information, such as name, work email, company, role, country and any phone number you choose to provide.
  • Account and identity information, such as user identifiers, organization membership, access roles and authentication records.
  • Commercial and relationship information, such as demo requests, service interests, Order Form contacts, billing contacts and communication preferences.
  • Support and communication content, including messages, attachments, diagnostic information and feedback you send to us.
  • Newsletter subscription details and records of consent or opt-out choices.

Customer content

Depending on the modules a customer uses, the Fabritec Platform may store documents, drawings, models, production records, quality records, work assignments, inventory and logistics data, comments, audit history and other content submitted by the customer or its authorized users. Customers decide what information they place in the service and are responsible for having the rights and notices needed to do so.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and connection data, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, language, approximate region and referring page.
  • Usage and diagnostic data, such as pages viewed, actions performed, timestamps, feature use, error reports and performance information.
  • Authentication and security events used to protect accounts, investigate misuse and maintain audit trails.
  • Cookie and similar-technology data. Optional analytics or marketing technologies are activated only in accordance with the choices shown in our consent controls and applicable law.

Information from other sources

We may receive business contact or account information from your employer, an authorized customer administrator, a referral partner, an integration you connect, public professional sources or a service provider acting for us. We combine it only where permitted and for the purposes described in this policy.

5. How and why we use information

  • Provide, configure, secure, maintain and support the website, portal and Fabritec services.
  • Create and administer accounts, verify access, enforce permissions and maintain service audit records.
  • Respond to questions, schedule demonstrations or audits, manage support cases and communicate about the service relationship.
  • Process subscriptions, orders, invoices and other business administration under an applicable customer arrangement.
  • Monitor reliability, prevent fraud or misuse, troubleshoot errors, protect users and improve product performance and usability.
  • Send product, event or newsletter communications where permitted. You may opt out of non-essential marketing at any time.
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, establish or defend legal claims and enforce applicable agreements.
  • Create aggregated or de-identified insights that do not reasonably identify a person or customer, where permitted and subject to the applicable customer terms.

Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following depending on the context: performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract; our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving a business service; compliance with legal obligations; consent for optional processing; and establishment or defense of legal claims. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary technologies for functions such as security, session continuity, language preferences and consent records. When enabled, analytics technologies help us understand aggregate website use and performance. Marketing technologies, if introduced, are subject to the consent choices presented on the website and applicable law.

You can manage preference, analytics and marketing technologies independently through the website consent controls and can reopen those controls at any time. Essential technologies remain active because they are required for security and core operation. Browser settings may also block or delete cookies, although doing so can affect essential site or portal functions.

8. How we disclose information

We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, subject to contracts and safeguards appropriate to the information and service.

  • To hosting, infrastructure, security, communications, analytics, customer-support and other service providers acting for us.
  • To a customer's authorized administrators and users where needed to operate that customer's account and permissions.
  • To third-party integrations at the customer's or user's direction.
  • To professional advisers, auditors, insurers and financing providers under appropriate confidentiality duties.
  • To regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety and service integrity.
  • In connection with a merger, financing, reorganization or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice requirements.

9. Sale and targeted advertising

Fabritec does not sell personal information for money. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as a standard business practice. If our practices change or a jurisdiction treats a particular disclosure as a sale or sharing, we will provide any notice and choice required by law before applying that practice.

10. International processing and data location

Fabritec serves customers across Egypt, the GCC, Africa and other regions. Personal information may therefore be processed in countries other than the country where it was collected. Cloud customer-data regions and deployment arrangements are described in the applicable Order Form or customer agreement; standard deployments may use UAE or European hosting regions depending on customer requirements.

Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and supplementary safeguards designed to protect information transferred across borders. Customers with specific residency requirements should confirm them in the applicable Order Form before deployment.

11. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, comply with legal or accounting duties, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Retention periods depend on the type of record, the customer relationship, legal requirements and the sensitivity of the information.

For customer content after a service ends, the standard customer terms allow the customer to request export during the period stated in its agreement, commonly 60 days. After the applicable period, information may be deleted or de-identified unless law or an active dispute requires longer retention. Backup copies may remain for a limited time until they cycle out under normal backup procedures.

12. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. Measures may include access controls, least-privilege administration, encryption in transit, monitoring, backups and incident-response procedures. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and customers remain responsible for their own users, credentials, endpoints, networks and on-premises environments.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and relationship with Fabritec, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent, and to complain to a competent supervisory authority. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions and identity verification.

Send a request to support@fabritec-eg.com with the subject "Privacy Request" and describe the right you wish to exercise. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and authority. If your information is controlled by a Fabritec customer, we may direct the request to that customer or assist the customer in responding.

14. Automated decision-making

Fabritec does not use website visitor or customer account information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals. Product automation configured by a customer operates under that customer's instructions and business rules.

15. Children

Fabritec is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the public website. If you believe a child has provided information to us without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, legal requirements or business practices. The page shows the latest revision date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of a material change before it takes effect.

17. Contact and complaints

Questions, concerns and privacy-rights requests may be sent to support@fabritec-eg.com or to Fabritec Software Solutions at the address in Section 1. You may also have the right to complain to the data-protection or consumer-protection authority responsible for your location.
